The Dallas Magpies are one of the founding clubs of the Texas Australian Football League (TXAFL). The TXAFL is made up of all the clubs in Texas, namely: The Dallas Magpies The Houston Football Club The San Antonio Football Club The Austin Crows

The TXAFL takes on a different game format than the regular Australian Football competition that the USAFL and MAAFL sanction. TXAFL games are a ‘Touch’ format that scales the game back to 9-12 players per side on the field, where games can be played on a regular soccer sized pitch. The Dallas Magpies use Metro games to foster new player development. Anyone and everyone that would like to learn this great game is encouraged to check out our schedule to join us on one of these weekends. TXAFL games are also played in these neighboring cities and the Magpies regularly travel to Austin for similar tournaments. New players are also encouraged to join in the fun of these road trips.
