..REVOLUTION……………………..
|
|
The US National Revolution squad is an All-Star
team of Americans from around the country playing Australian Football and
competing with national teams from around the world. The Revolution selection committee utilized
statistics and playing performances of players during the East v. West
tournament, USA v. Canada, USA v. Balmain as well as the US
Nationals in October. The team is derived from over 100 USAFL nominees
and current Revolution roster players. After careful consideration, the
2004 Revolution Squad was announced with representatives from 17
different USAFL teams. The Dallas Magpies currently have two
representatives in the US National Revolution squad. Brandon Blankenship and Seth Haesecke. |

solidified in the squad. He has played in numerous US Revolution games in the
past year, including an international game against Canada in August 2003 in
Pittsburgh in the 49th Parallel Cup. While also playing the Revolution,

Seth Haesecke (pictured left) Seth has been representing
Dallas a member of the US Revolution squad since 2004. He joined the club in
2004 and immediately started gaining the respect of the Dallas coaching staff
and at the National level. Soon after joining the club he was moved into the Magpies
traveling squad. This move paid off quickly for the Magpies, as in only his
third game against the Nashville Kangaroos in Tennessee on July 24th
2004, the umpires voted Seth second-best on the ground. For a first year
player this is an astounding achievement. Seth was a college
athlete, playing soccer at LeTourneau University, and before that played
soccer at Grapevine High School. Soon after this achievement he was called up
to US “Revolution” National Squad and as a member of the US “Uprising”
squad traveled to Toronto, Canada for the Atlantic Alliance Cup. |
